Marigold has a lofi aesthetic, inspired by the sounds of hip-hop, jazz, funk and bedroom pop. He is experimental with his sound but has a solid grasp on his creative abilities, allowing him to flow comfortably within various genres. He hails from the Detroit area and is also a filmmaker, which can be felt within his instrumentation choice and overall song structures.
